Roadmap Themes 2026 R1
Improved Control of Internal Operations
As globalization continues and access to world markets becomes easier, manufacturing industries are under pressure to remain competitive and improve efficiencies while reducing costs, and being able to deliver their product anywhere in the world at short notice.
These expectations require improved internal controls throughout the manufacturing business. To support this, a number of capabilities are being developed to offer the manufacturing business the required level of internal control.
We enhanced Marshalling by introducing configurable Custom Form Fields (CFF) on the packaging header and detail lines. This enables businesses to capture additional, organizational-specific data directly within the pack-and-ship workflow, improving visibility and supporting tailored operational processes.
We introduced bin locations for Stock in Inspection, enabling you to assign specific bin codes to items undergoing quality checks. This improves the organization and traceability of stock in inspection and integrates with the Inspection Engine to provide improved visibility and control of inspected goods.
We enhanced the SO Release Unallocated Kit from Reserve business object to allow Sales Kits and their components to be released from reserve. The enhancement also supports different units of measure (UOMs) on sub-type kit component lines, aligning with Sales Orders kit structure and unit conversion rules.
This improved flexibility when managing kit allocations and reduces manual reconciliation during filfilment.
We restored quantity editing within the Lot/Bin allocations grid for WIP Kit issues, adding real-time checks that prevent entries exceeding the selected lot/bin's available quantity and prompt a fix before posting. This delivers precise, auditable issues with fewer reversals and faster, on-screen adjustments, consistent with Syspro's allocation and WIP issue controls.
We introduced a new structured Stock code-container model (whmcontainerInv) with units/layers, layer/container, layer UoM, stacking permission, max stack height, and a default container at item master, aligning to warehouse/bin controls. Rules are enforced across put away, picking, and storage driving consistent palletization and dependable execution for sales, warehouse, and logistics
We introduced an enhanced method for managing stock inventory within Syspro warehouse management ERP by enabling WMS License Plate Numbers (LPNs) to treat a pallet as a single, scannable unit while retaining item-level visibility. Teams scan one pallet (LPN) to receive, move, and pick, with real-time updates to pallet and item balances that accelerate put-away and picking and reduce scans and errors.
We added in-process QMS inspections integrated with WIP. A BOM-operation flag triggers manual/automatic checks, within the Inspection Engine applying configured tests and pass/fail criteria and linking results to jobs. Progression can be blocked on failure, bringing earlier, standardized control and traceability for faster, more confident decisions.
We added a Reference text field to the Customer Account Payment screen in Point of Sale. When captured at the till, the reference is posted to Syspro through the AR Payments and Adjustments business object.
This enables back-office teams to quickly identify payments and improve reconciliation and auditability between Point of Sale transactions and Accounts Receivable records.
We now offer automatic and manual bin-depletion support in Syspro Point of Sale for retailers and businesses that manage inventory using bins. This feature simplifies stock management by providing configurable rules for automatic bin depletion, while also offering manual selection for users who need greater control, with the option to enforce one method or run both side-by-side per business policy.
By introducing both options, we enable businesses to tailor the bin-depletion process to their operational requirements, thereby improving accuracy and inventory management.
We added a Customer Phone Number field to Sales Order Entry in Syspro Point of Sale displaying it immediately when a customer is selected, so operators can call or confirm details without leaving the order screen. This streamlined touch point speed order capture, reduces app-switching, and elevates service at checkout. It builds on Syspro's Sales Order Entry and browser-based POS experience, improving accessibility and operational efficiency for cashiers and sales teams.
We enhanced the Shipment Maintenance business object to automatically populate Expected Cost in LCT Shipment Maintenance when fixed-cost elements apply, using Bill of Landing cost calculations. This aligns business object postings with the UI behavior that surfaces expected values, eliminating manual refresh and delivering consistent, accurate shipment costing and faster reconciliations.
We optimized SQL in Transfer BOM Costs to Warehouse Costs to accelerate cost updates and lower load as data grows. This enhancement improves execution efficiency through targeted SQL optimization techniques. The goal is to reduce processing time, lower system load, and ensure consistent performance as data volumes grow.
Improved Organizational Controls
As the landscape changes, businesses need to focus on improving organizational controls and internal controls.
Improved organizational control will become steadily critical as the business changes and grows, and for improved real-time decision making by the leadership team.
We added a setup option that enables you to determine whether foreign exchange differences in AP Invoice Posting are posted to the General Ledger as Realized or Unrealized. This provides greater control over foreign currency accounting and improves compliance with financial reporting requirements.
We introduced a new payment type (Digital Payments) in Payment Cycle Maintenance to support digital payment processing solutions (such as Traild). This enables organizations to run supplier payment cycles separately for digital payment platforms while continuing to process checks or EFT payments internally. The capability improves processing efficiency, auditability, and integration with modern payment services.
We optimized the CSH Deposits and Withdrawals business object to improve performance when processing high volumes of transactions while Live General Ledger is enabled.
This ensures faster posting of deposits and withdrawals while maintaining real-time General Ledger integration and financial visibility.
We enhanced the Replace Component Where Used program to allow bulk removal of components by leaving the Replacement Component field blank to delete the part from all selected Bill of Materials after a confirmation prompt. Previously, the program only supported replacing components with substitutes. This improves Bill of Material maintenance by enabling both bulk replacement and removal within the same process.
We introduced a new Print Flag value (R-Reprint) in the Factory Documentation program to identify jobs that require reprinting. New jobs created in Job Review retain the N flag, while modified jobs switch to the R flag to indicate that updated documentation must be reprinted. Batch printing can now filter specifically on reprint jobs, reducing duplicate printing and improving production control.
The Purchase Pricing Engine centralized supplier pricing management through Purchase Price Groups with prioritized price lists, exception rules, and list statuses.
During requisition and purchase order entry, the system automatically selects the most appropriate supplier price across valid price lists, while considering quantity breaks, minimum quantities, and order multiples. Lead times are also displayed to assist purchasing decisions.
To support the transition to the new engine, built-in review tools, history tracking, and conversion utilities assist organizations in migrating and validating supplier pricing within a single, controlled environment.
We corrected the eSignature behavior for Bill of Material change operations to ensure that detailed header and line-level logging is consistently written to SQL when an eSignature condition is triggered.
This strengthens auditability and ensures a complete history of controlled changes.
We enhanced the WIP Job Creation and Maintenance business object to copy materials and operations from non-stocked estimates when creating non-stocked jobs.
This aligns the business object with the Job Entry program behavior and enables fully automated job creation processes based on estimated Bill of Materials.
The system now automatically creates missing General Ledger History records during journal posting. If a required year or ledger code record does not exist in the GenHistory table, it is created automatically. This eliminates posting failures and the need for a manual GL Initial History workaround.
We enhanced eSignatures to control changes to lot expiry dates through configurable rule-based options (deny, allow with permission, or allow-and-log), so only authorized users can modify expiry dates while maintaining a full audit trail. This secures Lot Number Maintenance and enables configurable logging/triggers for robust compliance and traceability.
You can now post General Ledger Journals to prior financial years, up to five elapsed years, bringing agile, compliant back-posting to historical periods. This expands beyond Syspro's current limit, to post only to the current/previous GL year and limited prior periods.
We introduced a dedicated Financial Period Management program to control the opening and closing of financial periods. This separates period control from Setup Options, allowing Financial Controllers to manage period changes without broad configuration access. This improves governance, reduces risk, and streamlines period-end activities.
We introduced a standardized document format for Cycle Count processes that provides consistent fields for count, variances, and related key metrics. This improves the Stock Take and Cycle Count review and reconciliation processes and supports audit readiness
We added a company-level setup option to centrally control the foreign currency Do not revalue when maintaining preference for purchase orders.
Security settings can prevent user overrides, ensuring consistent revaluation policies across the organization.
We enhanced the QOT Quotation confirmation business object to perform a cost implosion for non-stocked estimates prior to confirmation. This enables faster, server-side confirmation of quotations and improves scalability for high-volume quoting environments.
We enabled Override GL accounts in the PO Purchase Order Receipts and WIP Labor Posting business objects for non-stocked purchase order lines linked to subcontract job operations.
This aligns the behavior of the business objects with the UI and ensures balanced and consistent financial postings.
We enhanced the Payment Gateway functionality to improve the visibility of payment reservations against Sales Orders. This provides clearer insights into payment coverage and helps sales, finance, and customer service teams more easily assess order readiness and manage filfullment.
We enhanced the Payment Gateway integration to automatically update PayThem account details when customer information is changed in the Customers program. This ensures account information remains consistent across systems, reducing failed payments and minimizing manual maintenance.
Batch settlement of payments is now supported in the new Batch Settlement program. This improves operational efficiency by reducing processing time for finance teams and simplifying reconciliation against bank statements.
The Supply Chain Portal now supports digital payments and credit car reservations through the Payment Gateway. This enables customers to make online payments or reserve funds during the process, supporting self-service transactions while reducing credit risk for made-to-order or delayed fulfilment scenarios.
Accounts Receivable Withholding Tax can now be applied at the point of capture during sales order and invoice processing. This ensures withholding tax is calculated and recorded automatically as transactions are created, improving tax compliance and reducing manual adjustments.
We enhanced the Payment Gateway integration to capture and transmit Level 2 and 3 data, so invoice, tax, and line-item details flow through the gateway and back for streamlined reconciliation and rebust, auditable histories.
We added an ISO Currency Cross Reference to the Avalara Tax Connector, letting you map any Syspro currency code to their international ISO formats and apply this mapping in the Tax Connector's conversion routine, so Avalara can now be used for tax calculations in any currency (euros, pounds, yen, and pesos) without technical workarounds. This capability ensures that currency values are interpreted consistently across Syspro and external tax systems.
We deprecated all Vertex Tax Connector functionality and consolidated on a unified Avalara Tax Connector for North America. This simplifies tax management and focuses enhancements on Avalara capabilities (e.g. CertCapture and standardized interfaces), reducing integration complexity and strengthening compliance, support, and roadmap clarity.
We upgraded the Avalara Tax Connector to the latest REST API, replacing our legacy SOUP integration to ensure continuity. This modernized endpoint aligns with Avalara's versioning/deprecation roadmap and keeps Syspro Tax Connector customers seamlessly connected going forward.
We refined the AvalaraView exemption certificate hyperlink in the Customer Query program to always surface the most recent, relevant certificate drawing from CertCapture, rather than the first uploaded version. This enhancement streamlines experience and accelerates reliable, compliance checks, reduces manual hunts, and lowers audit risk within our Tax Connectors framework.
We introduced AP 1099 Label Format for SRS (APSTBX) program for Web UI, as Web UI supports SRS label printing only and the legacy AP 1099 Label Format program can’t be used there. AP 1099 Label Format for SRS (APSTBX) is purpose-built for SRS (i.e., both Crystal or Wine), removing dependencies on original print coordinates and aligning with SRS configuration for a streamlined web experience. We also updated AP Supplier Maintenance Web UI so you can launch AP 1099 Label Format for SRS (APSTBX) directly from the Supplier program.
New functionality was added to Syspro Point of Sale that allows users to handle sales transactions in multiple currencies. It provides real-time conversion from maintained/dated exchange rates for precise totals at checkout, with support for diverse payment methods in POS/Counter Sales workflows. It integrates with financials to post in base currency for accurate AR/GL reporting. Administrators can configure acceptance rules and conversion policies by controlling currencies and exchange rates.
We enabled two-decimal pick quantities in Sales Order Picking letting teams capture precise weight/length/volume picks within Syspro's WMS Picking and Pick Maintenance flows. This precision reduces manual adjustments, improved inventory accuracy, and speeds dispatch, so customers receive exact quantities with greater confidence at the time of shipment.
We enhanced subcontract operations in Operations Management by adding managed subcontract steps and allocations, tracking progress and supplier routing, and inspecting/receiving returns before reintegration, fully integrated with WIP so updates, costing, and controls flow in real time for superior traceability and quality.
We enhanced WIP Query by adding a Purchase order column to the Material Transaction pane and enabling smart hyperlink navigation directly to Purchase Order. Allowing you to select the purchase order to cross-reference material transactions with the originating purchase orders. The new column is hidden by default, supporting a clean, personalized listview experience.
We added Reconcile All and Unreconcile All actions to the Open Bank Transaction listview in Cash Book Deposits and Withdrawals, enabling finance users to reconcile (or reverse reconciliation) across the filtered, visible transaction set in one step. These bulk actions apply existing validation rules, operator activity security, eSignatures, and foreign-currency warning messages to keep processing controlled and auditable. We also extended the CSH Deposits and Withdrawals business object with Reconcile All (-A) using the same routines, while deliberately excluding mass unreconciled for governance.
Supply Chain and Connected World
The competitive landscape has changed and each manufacturer increasingly faces a requirement to find new and alternative routes to market, as well as being able to better service their current market.
SYSPRO's product roadmap provides capabilities to improve processes to support optimization of the sales and distribution channel as well as aftermarket support for the sale.
We introduce a Trade Promotion Review business object that enables Sales and Finance managers to review, validate, dispute, or approve trade promotions.
This improves the accuracy of promotion processing and reduces the risk of costly write-offs.
We enhanced Document Services: Purchase Order to Sales Order to automatically attach the original purchase order to the sales order header when a purchase order is analyzed to create a sales order.
This provides centralized access to the source document and improves traceability for Customer Service, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
We added Country of Origin (CCO) as a selection criteria in Price List Review and Inventory Price-Cost Percentage Change, delivering precise, compliance-aware analysis at scale. This intuitive filter lets Sales leaders segment reviews and bulk price/cost updates by origin, accelerating pricing and sourcing decisions, surfacing land-cost and regulatory impacts, and eliminating manual workarounds for faster, audit-ready outcomes.
We added an eSignature requirement to the SO Invoice Calculation from Sales Order business object. This ensures that invoice creation can be controlled through authenticated approvals, improving governance and providing a clear audit trail of authorized transactions.
We have aligned the SO Sales Order Import business object with standard functionality in the core product, enabling it to automatically apply TPM Price Break Discounts during order capture, consistent with Sales Order Entry. This seamless, automated enhancement ensures consistent pricing across channels, eliminates errors, and simplifies third-party integrations, delivering accurate, audit-ready promotions for Sales and Supply Chain leadership.
The Forecasting module's calculation logic has been enhanced. We aligned Weekly Calendar forecasting with monthly logic, so credit notes are correctly netted in weekly demand history and forecast calculations, eliminating overstated demand. This delivers consistent period handling and more reliable forecasts, reducing manual corrections and enabling confident, efficient planning across weekly buckets.
We enhanced the PO Requisition Entry business object to support linking requisition lines to hierarchical jobs.
This aligns the business object behavior with the UI capabilities in the program PO Purchase Order Import and thePO Purchase Order Import business object and improves job costing accuracy.
We added governed hierarchy and identifier fields to the ArCustomer table, which include Corporate Parent ID and Partner ID reference, Broker ID and Sales Manager reference, DUNS, and Facility / Billing ID / Customer ID, and Store Number, creating a centralized backbone for analytics and integration. Sales, finance, and partner teams can now work from a consistent view of who the customer is and who they roll up to, enabling confident pricing, credit, investment, and commissions.
We added an Exclude changes with X days filter to Purchase Order Review, mirroring Job Review, to suppress minor date tweaks. We streamlined reviews, focused buyers on impactful adjustments, and deliver consistent, noise-free planning across jobs and purchase orders, improving productivity, decision quality, and operational confidence.
We extended the Supply Chain Portal with customer-facing Sales Order Management, enabling customers to create and manage orders within status-governed limits. This launches a responsive 24x7 self-service channel that reduces manual processing, increased transparency, and accelerates order-to-cash, leveraging Syspro's robust sales order controls.
We introduce a new feature called Quality Documentation, a governed, template-driven library embedded with the Quality Management module that produces Quality Documentation, such as Certificate of Conformance (CoC)), Quality Assurance Plans, Inspection and Test Reports, and Supplier Quality Agreements, surfacing alongside inspections and job records for auditable traceability. This centralized, version-controlled content streamlines compliance and accelerates cross-functional collaboration.
We enhanced the Trade Promotions module by adding a Unit of Measure threshold type in Promotion Code, which specifies the quantities ordered. Allowing you to qualify promotions by Stocking, Alternate, or Other UOM, and optionally enforce whole-unit multiples (e.g., full boxes or pallets), even when lines are captured in the stocking UOM. This delivers precise, flexible pack-based discounts, reduces mis-qualification, and speeds accurate pricing at order entry.
Information and Intelligence
Along with the improved controls, a business needs information to function. Digital Transformation is bringing more and more information to the business, but without the tools to manage all of the extra information it adds no value.
SYSPRO adds the key tools to manage and analyze all of the extra information. Augmented Services translates all of the knowledge into an improved customer experience.
We have extended the Customer Complaints Entry program to support custom form fields on the header pane (Activity Details), so teams can capture organization-specific metadata at the Complaint Detail header. This configuration enhancement enhances data quality, reporting, and workflow alignment, tailors the complaints process without code, and improves adoption.
We extended the Inventory ATP Query program to select one or many warehouses for a Stock code, compute ATP across the selection, and display the warehouse on each row for grouping and consolidated totals. This enhancement centralized visibility in one view, and delivers faster, more reliable order promising with fewer manual checks across locations.
Syspro Point of Sale now displays Customer Custom Fields defined in Syspro's Custom Forms, making customer-specific data visible directly in POS. This uses the standard Custom Forms Framework (design entry, and query) to expose additional customer attributes.
We built Syspro AI Studio – a cloud-first, no-code platform embedded in Syspro that understands Syspro data, business objects, and workflows, and provides a guided library of pre-built AI Assistants and AI Agents, plus tools to build and deploy custom AI solutions. This empowers teams to automate tasks and augment day-to-day operations with consistent, in-context AI – without needing specialist AI skills.
We’re introducing an AI In-Store Assistant inside Syspro Point of Sale, giving staff contextual, natural-language help to answer questions, confirm stock availability, and recommend complementary items while they transact. Built on Syspro’s AI-enabled foundation and agent-based innovation, it brings guided cross-sell and up-sell suggestions into the moment, accelerating confident service, improving conversion, and reducing onboarding time for new store users.
Digital Business Platform
A combination of technologies that enables an organization to deliver digital business capabilities, SYSPRO's Digital Business Platform supports any customer organization that needs to build their own platform (or multi-purpose integration hub) to interact with other platforms or integrate all of their disparate systems into a single platform that is integrated directly into SYSPRO.
We modernized Point of Sale Category Items with larger, clearer product tiles and a streamlined two-column grid, delivering a visual, touch-friendly experience optimized for tables and modules. This intuitive layout accelerates accurate item selection and elevates image-driven workflows across our browser-based POS, improving speed, confidence, and adoption at checkout.
