Percentage based on |
When the Percentage based on is set to Cost then a negative percentage can be used. For all other selections, you need to use the Increase/decrease options to change the price/cost. The option you select here determines which other criteria are made available in this pane. Select this to change prices for existing price codes by a specific percentage. Select this to change prices held against price codes based on a percentage of another price code. Select this to change prices associated with a price code by adding a percentage to the unit cost of a stock item. Select this to make global changes to your inventory costs. Any changes to the inventory unit costs are recorded in the inventory journal table. In addition, for each stock code against which you are retaining stock movements (Stock Codes) changes are recorded in the stock movement table. If Inventory is linked to the General Ledger in summary or detail (General Ledger Integration) then details of the ledger codes involved in each cost change transaction are printed. This field is disabled when using the pricing engine, i.e. when the Pricing method setup option is defined as Price groups (Setup Options > Configuration > Distribution > Sales Orders), as this not catered for in the Price List Review program. |

Hint and tips
-
You can use the Inventory Price History program to print an audit trail of changes made using this program.
Notes and warnings
Restrictions and limits
-
This program ignores any items that use Actual costing (Inventory Setup) when processing a cost change or when processing a price change based on cost.
-
When the Percentage based on option is set to Cost or Inventory cost, then all warehouses with a costing method of FIFO or LIFO are ignored (Inventory Setup or Warehouses). Items in warehouses using FIFO or LIFO costing are therefore not updated.
