Interface Sites

You use this program to create and maintain all the remote sites relating to your current company.

Interface Site Maintenance

Field Description
Site

Enter a code to uniquely identify each site with which your local site can communicate.

A site refers to any company within the organization running SYSPRO that requires the exchange of data.

Each site must be uniquely identifiable within the organization so that files transferred between sites are not overwritten, or lost.

Interface Site Options
Site name This indicates the site code currently being maintained.
Site name Enter a description for the site.
Company Enter the company id of this remote site.
Next export group number This number is incremented after each export and should not be altered once defined. This must match the next import group number of the receiving site.
Next import group number

This number is incremented after each import (and for each control file that is located) and should not be altered once defined. This must match the next export group number of the sending site.

When the next import group number reaches 999, it is reset to 0 (zero) and you will be unable to perform any imports for this site until you reset the number to 1 using the Interface Log Purge program.

Branches to export

Indicate the branches for which to export sales transactions.

You typically indicate a list of branches to export sales orders for specific branches only. A sales order can only have one branch code associated with it.
Warehouses to export

Indicate the warehouses for which to export Inventory transactions.

The warehouses cannot apply to sales transactions because a sales order can be created from items originating from more than one warehouse. For this reason you need to use the Branches to export option to define the criteria for including sales transactions.

Files to export Indicate the files to export from a local site to a remote site.
