You use this program to view WIP job amendment journals for a specific job. This enables you to track additions and changes to WIP jobs and allocations.
The listview displays details of WIP job amendment journals created for live jobs.
Amendment journals are created when:
a job is added
An amendment journal is created for the job itself as well as for each labor and material allocation added to the new job.
a job is deleted
When you delete the entire job, only one amendment journal is created (i.e. an amendment journal is not created for each labor or material allocation as well as the job).
a job is changed
a job is set to Confirmed
a co-product is added to or removed from a job
a material allocation is added to or removed from the job
a material allocation against the job is changed
a labour allocation is added to or removed from the job
a labour allocation against the job is changed
This program can only be run when the option Capture job amendment journals is enabled (Work in Progress Setup).
No amendment journals are created for MRP snapshot jobs.
No amendment journals are created for the following transactions processed against jobs as tracking and posting detail records exist for these transactions:
Job Receipts
Kit/specific issue for a labor or material allocation
Labor posting
Issuing of sub jobs to a master job
Attaching a sub job to a master job
Reserving Lots and/or Serials for a Job and/or material allocation
Changing Co-product apportionment percentages
Setting a job to Complete
Job amendment journals for completed jobs are deleted by the Purge function of the WIP Period End program (see Purge).
