Archive Setup

You use this program to maintain the destination folders for elements of SYSPRO that can be archived.

Archive Setup Maintenance

You use the Change option from the Edit menu to maintain the archive destination folders.

Field Description
Archive type This indicates the type of archive file you are maintaining (e.g. ECC Bill of Material, WIP Job or Sales order.
Next archive number  
Archive file path

Indicate the full destination path for data generated for this archive type. The destination folder must already exist on file.

By default, SYSPRO stores archived data in your current working directory (i.e. the working folder you specified at the time of installing the product). In a client/server environment, the archive file path is located on the server.

You can use the browse function to select the required file path. If you are running in a client/server environment, then the folders available on the server are displayed. If the current archive file path is invalid, then the browse starts in the base folder of your SYSPRO installation.

Save Select this to save the information you entered.

Column Description
Type of archive This indicates the type of archive file.
Next archive number This indicates the next number that must be used for archiving for the archive type.
Archive file path This indicates the full destination path for data generated for this archive type.

Notes and warnings

  • No ''additional'' information (such as custom forms, multimedia, notes, etc) attached to archived elements are archived.
