Workflow Library

You use this program to maintain your workflows and activities. You also launch the Workflow Designer from this program to create your workflows and activities.

Toolbar

The toolbar displayed depends on what is selected in the Workflow Library pane.

Workflows folder toolbar

Field Description
Add  
New Workflow Create a new workflow.
Existing Workflow Add a workflow that has been developed externally.
Import Workflow Import a workflow into the Workflow Library.
Refresh Refresh the information displayed in the Workflows folder.

Toolbar when an existing workflow is selected

Field Description
Maintain Workflow Make changes to the workflow.
Delete Workflow Delete a version of the workflow from the system.
Copy Workflow Copy an existing workflow to a new version, allowing you to keep track of changes that have been made to the workflow.
Export Workflow Export a workflow. You will need to select the location to which the workflow will be exported. The workflow, including the XAML and XML files, are exported.
Deploy Latest Version Integrate the workflow into SYSPRO.

Toolbar options when you right-click on a version of a workflow

Field Description
Maintain Version Make changes to this version of the workflow in the Workflow Designer.
Delete Version Delete a version of the workflow from the system.
Copy to Version Copy an existing workflow to a new version, allowing you to keep track of changes that have been made to the workflow.
Export Version Export a workflow. You will need to select the location to which the workflow will be exported. The workflow, including the XAML and XML files, are exported.
Deploy Version Integrate the workflow into SYSPRO.
Retire Version Retire a version of a workflow.Retire a workflow that is no longer in use. You can only retire a workflow version if it has been deployed and if all instances of the workflow have been completed successfully.

New Workflow

Field Description
Workflow details  
Workflow name Enter a unique name for the workflow.
Description Enter a description of the workflow that can be used during tracking and monitoring.
KeyId Description Enter a unique description of the KeyId variable of the workflow in relation to the transaction that will initiate the workflow.
Workflow for Company Select the company against which the workflow must be saved.
Create Save the workflow and open it in the Workflow Designer.

Activities folder toolbar

Field Description
Add  
New Activity Create a new activity for a workflow.
Import Activity Import an activity into the Activity Library.
Refresh Refresh the information displayed in the Activities folder.

New Activity

Field Description
Activity details  
Library name Enter a unique name for the activity.
Activity name Enter a unique description of the activity.
Activity language Select the programming language in which you will create the activity.
Activity for Company Select the company against which the activity must be saved.
Create Select this to save the activity.

Summary pane

Details of the workflow or activity are displayed in this pane.

Notes pane

Notes can be added to this pane regarding the workflow or activity.
