Scrap Reason Maintenance

You use this program to define coded reasons that can be assigned to the scrapping of material during labor postings made in the Labor Posting program.

You can use the Material Scrap Analysis program to analyze scrap entries made within the Labor Posting program.

Field Description
Scrap reason

Enter a scrap reason code you want to use within the system.
Description Enter a description for the scrap reason code. This description is used to identify the scrap reason code and verify that the correct scrap reason has been entered.

Notes and warnings

Deletion considerations

  • Scrap analysis records are deleted according to a cut-off date specified when purging records in Work in Progress unless you enable the option Permanently retain scrap analysis (Work In Progress Setup).
