Change Material Availability Date

You use this program to change the available date for a component or the sub-assembly of a job.

Toolbar and menu

Field Description
Stock code This indicates the item for which you want to change the material availability date.
Job This indicates the job to which the material is allocated.
Date available Indicate the date when the material will be available.
Update Job

Select this to update the job.

The calculation of the total number of days required to complete all operations (i.e. queue time, elapsed time, start time, complete time and move time) is affected by your selection at the option: Operation to end earlier than prior (Work in Progress Setup).

Job amendment journals are created when the Capture job amendment journals option is enabled (Work in Progress Setup).

Close Select this to return to the previous screen without changing the date.

Change Material Availability Date

This screen is displayed when you select the Update Job option.

Field Description
Job This indicates job that is being updated.
New start date This indicates the new start date for the job.
New delivery date This indicates the new delivery date calculated for the job.
Run finite trial load Select this to run a trial loading for the job.
Include overtime % in date calculation Select this to include the value calculated from the overtime percentage when determining the available capacity for the work center for the job being loaded.
Trial Load Select this function to run a trial load (see WIP Trial Loading).
Close Select this to return to the previous screen without running a trial load.

Program access

  • This program can be accessed by selecting the Change icon from the Material Requirements Pegging pane of the Requirements Planning Query program and you select the Change available date option.
