You use this program to generate a report of either standard cost price variances or non-matched invoice variances for matched GRN's in stock code sequence.
A standard cost price variance indicates the difference between the standard cost by which inventory is incremented and the actual purchase cost incorporated in the GRN suspense account.
A non-matched invoice variance occurs when the operator does not match any GRN's within the AP Invoice Posting program and inputs an invoice value.
The GRN price variance is also referred to as the purchase price variance.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Report type | |
Standard cost price variance | Select this to generate a report listing the difference
between the standard cost against the stock items and the
actual purchase costs at which the GRNs are matched. For example, a stock item has a current cost of 349.52. A purchase order is created for this item at a cost of 500.00 and the purchase order is receipted and matched to the GRN using the AP Invoice Posting program. The variance will be include on the report. |
Non-matched invoices | Select this to generate a report listing transactions processed using the AP Invoice Posting program, where the GRN was not fully matched, but the merchandise value and the value to match (invoice value net of tax, freight and miscellaneous charges) differed during GRN matching. |
List GRNs with variance % greater than |
Enter the percentage variance to use for the report. Only GRN's with a variance greater than the percentage entered here are printed. This also applies to a negative variance. |
Variance % base |
Indicate whether to base the variance percentage on the standard cost price or the purchase value of the GRN. The value entered must be greater than zero. You can only access the Variance % base field if you selected the Report type: Standard cost price variance report. |
Standard | Select this to base the variance percentage on the standard cost price |
Purchase | Select this to base the variance on the purchase value of the GRN. |
