Task dialogs with only a single button are presented as auto-expiring messages (i.e. toast notifications). These notifications are displayed briefly on the screen to alert you of a condition, before disappearing automatically without requiring any operator input.

Load the System-wide Personalization program ( -> -> ).
Switch on the Enable Toast Notifications option.
You can switch off toast notifications by clicking the triangle icon on the notification window and selecting the Turn off toast notifications option.
When next you are presented with a task dialog that has only a single button, the system displays the notification in the standard window message style that will require your input to continue.
If you later change your mind, you will have to switch off task dialog customization and then switch it on again.
