SYSPRO Ribbon bar > Administration > Toast Notifications

Toast Notifications

Task dialogs with only a single button are presented as auto-expiring messages (i.e. toast notifications). These notifications are displayed briefly on the screen to alert you of a condition, before disappearing automatically without requiring any operator input.

[Note]
  • Although toast notifications cannot be customized in the traditional sense of the word, you can set a delay time to keep the notification displayed on screen and you can configure it to close once you start typing.

  • If the message contains a colon character (:) it is treated as a data notification. You can view the last 20 data notifications by selecting the Notification icon from the ribbon bar of the SYSPRO main menu.

Get Started

Switch on Toast notifications

  1. Load the System-wide Personalization program (SYSPRO Ribbon bar->Administration->System-wide Personalization).

  2. Switch on the Enable Toast Notifications option.

Switch off Toast notifications

You can switch off toast notifications by clicking the triangle icon on the notification window and selecting the Turn off toast notifications option.

When next you are presented with a task dialog that has only a single button, the system displays the notification in the standard window message style that will require your input to continue.

If you later change your mind, you will have to switch off task dialog customization and then switch it on again.
