Sales Order Actions

You use this program to generate a report identifying changes that need to be made to the live sales order quantities and/or dates to meet the planning within the snapshot files.

The program compares information residing within the snapshot files to information residing within the live files and reports on the differences. The latest requirements calculation date is printed on each report.

Report Details

The Sales Order Actions program compares all changes made to the "snapshot" in terms of Sales orders to the live Sales Order files. Therefore if you take a new snapshot and do not make any changes to sales orders, the report will be blank. The planning indicated within the snapshot files is generated by the Requirements Calculation program.

The following information is included in the report:

  • Sales order number
  • Sales order line number
  • Customer code
  • Stock code
  • Stock description
  • Warehouse
  • Unit of measure
  • Current quantity

This is calculated as the ship quantity plus backorder quantity on the live sales order line.

  • Suggested quantity

This is calculated as the ship quantity plus backorder quantity on the snapshot sales order line.

  • Current ship date

This is taken from the live sales order header, or in the case of scheduled orders, the live sales order line.

  • Suggested ship date

This is taken from the snapshot sales order header, or in the case of a scheduled order, the snapshot sales order line.
