Options
Only effective policies

Select this to only copy policies which are within the Forecast horizon (months) indicated in the Inventory Optimization - General Setup program.

The program calculates the forecast horizon date using the Effective date on the policy and the Forecast horizon (months) indicated in the Inventory Optimization - General Setup program. Policies which extend beyond or are outside of this horizon date are not copied.

If you did not define an Effective date against the policy (IO Policies) then the current period start date is used when calculating the forecast horizon date.

This option applies when you have different forecast calendars against the stock items. For example, for the same stock item, you may have a forecast which extends 24 months into the future and another which extends only 12 months into the future.

Set date to start of period Select this to override the Effective date for the policy being copied to be the start of the period according to the forecast calendar.

For example:

The Effective date of the policy on the stock item you are copying from is set to 03/08/2012.

The period dates on the forecast calendar are from 01/08/2102 to 31/08/2012.

If you select this option, then the policy will come into effect on 01/08/2012 against the stock items in the selection set.

Delete existing policies Select this to remove all the current policies from the items in the selection set before the copy takes place.
