These totals relate to the number of hours booked to date; labor and material costs to date; and labor and material issues from work in progress to date.

[Note]

You can also run a Work in Progress valuation using the WIP Valuation program.

The total value of Work in Progress to date in the months displayed.

You can view the details of this total by running the WIP Valuation program as of the required month.

This total is calculated as follows:

Labor cost to date + Material cost to date) less (Labor issued out to WIP + Material issued out to WIP)

The program uses the WIP Job Master table to establish what the costs to date are against what is issued out of WIP when receipting. It reflects the value of WIP in the manufacture of finished goods.

If Work in Progress is integrated to the General Ledger either in summary or detail (General Ledger Integration) and you have successfully posted all Work in Progress transaction journals into the General Ledger then this total must equal the total of the Work in Progress control account(s) in the General Ledger.
