Asset Branches

You use this program to maintain asset branch codes.

An asset branch must be defined against each asset (Assets).

The Assets Register can be integrated to the General Ledger at branch level (see Assets Ledger Interface).

Asset Branch Details

Field Description
Asset branch Indicate the code of the branch to maintain.
Asset branch This displays the code of the branch being maintained.
Description Enter the description for the branch code. This is displayed throughout SYSPRO whenever you enter the branch code, enabling you to verify that the correct branch was entered.

Notes and warnings

Deletion considerations

  • SYSPRO does not validate whether any assets are attached to the branch when you delete a branch.

  • When an asset branch is deleted, all cost centers associated with that branch are also deleted.

A warning message is displayed to this effect when you select to delete a branch. This enables you to cancel the deletion of the branch.
