SRS Report Queue
This program lets you manage, execute (i.e. print, email, export) and schedule all your reports on the server.
Toolbar and menu

Type |
This lets you select whether you want to display reports, documents or all types of documentation in the listview. |

This lets you select time filters for the reports you want to display in the listview. |

This lets you select the status of the reports that you want displayed in the listview. |

Report Engine |
This lets you select the type of reports you want to display: This displays all the reports generated using Crystal Reports. This displays all the reports using the Reporting Services engine. This displays all reports. |

Delete |
This lets you delete selected reports or documents from the listview. |
|
Show scheduled reports |
This opens the Schedule Status window from where you can preview or delete scheduled reports. This option is only available for Crystal Reports users. |

Purge Manager |
This opens the Purge Manager window from where you can purge reports by date, operator or report status from the report queue. Reports are purged only for the SYSPRO company that you are logged into. |
Queue
This pane displays all the available reports that can be printed.
This displays the Additional Filters window where you an select the document type, dates and status of the reports or documents you want to display in the listview.
This lets you re-run a report in the listview that has a status of Error.
This lets you view more lines of data in the listview.

Type |
This displays the type of document or report. |

Name |
This displays the name of the report sent to the server. |
|
Operator |
This displays the name of the operator who requested the report. |
|
Request date |
This displays the date the report was sent to the server. |
|
Request time |
This displays the time the report was sent to the server. |
|
Status |
The status that the report is currently in. |
|
Preview |
Select the Preview hyperlink to view the document or report using the SRS Documents Preview program. |

Completed date |
The date on which the report was processed. |
|
Priority |
You can change the priority of any report in a status of In Queue. Choose a priority of Low, Medium or High. Select High to move the report to the front of the queue. |

Exported report |
If a report has been exported, then select View to open the report in the application to which it has been exported. |
|
Crystal report |
A check indicates that the document or report is a legacy format, specifically a .rpt file used by Crystal Reports). This column is only displayed when you have a Crystal Reports license. |
Purge Manager
This lets you indicate your criteria for the purge process.
This deletes the reports or documents as per your selection criteria.

| Purge type | Select whether you want to purge documents, reports or all documentation as per your selection criteria. |
| Purge by document type |
Select Single to purge only one document or report. Once you selected Single, you can search for and select the document or report you want to purge at the Document type field. This field is only available if you select Documents at the Purge type field. |
| Purge by requested date |
Indicate the date period if you want to purge by date. These date fields are not inclusive (e.g. If you enter 01.01.2015 in the From date field, then only items from 02.01.2015 will be purged). |
| Purge by operator |
Indicate the operator if you want to purge by operator. This option is available even when the Operator activity SRS Server Allowed to view all documents in company is not enabled. |
| Purge by status | Indicate the status type if you want to purge by status. |
| Purge by report engine | Select the reporting engine from which you want to purge documents or reports. |
Hint and tips

Alert for reports ready to view:
To avoid having to constantly check the report queue for new reports, you can set the option Automatically check for new SRS reports every nn minutes to display a desktop alert when a report is ready to be viewed in the Report Queue.
You can either click on any hyperlink to view the report, or view the Report Queue to see all unread reports.

SYSPRO Avanti:
The SYSPRO 8 Reporting Host Service is responsible for pushing online printing to your browser session and these reports take precedence when printing.

The following reports cannot be re-run from the server-side SRS Report Queue program:

These reports can only be run from within a standard SYSPRO program using the SRS Document Printing architecture.

This message is displayed when attempting to process your report in SYSPRO Web UI (Avanti) if any of the following apply:
-
The SYSPRO 8 Reporting Host Service isn't running currently on the server.
-
The SYSPRO 8 Reporting Host Service hasn't been updated to the latest version.
-
The configuration against the Reporting configuration and Reporting service setup options are not configured correctly.
For example:
This setup option may be defined as Server-side reporting using SQL, but your reporting service address is incorrect.
Ensure the following:

The latest version of the SYSPRO 8 Reporting Host Service is installed.
-
The service is currently running on your server.
-
Your configuration of the Reporting configuration and Reporting service setup options is defined correctly (Setup Options > System Setup > Reporting).
Activity considerations
Operator access to the following activities within this program can be restricted. You configure this using the Operators program.

| SRS Allowed to change report priority | Controls whether an operator can change the priority of reports in the queue (server-side printing). |
| SRS Server Allowed to delete report | Controls whether an operator can delete a report in the report queue (server-side printing). Only reports run by the logged in operator can be deleted. |
| SRS Server Allowed to purge reports in company | Controls whether an operator can purge reports from the report queue of a company (server-side printing). This enables the Purge Manager button on the report queue toolbar from where an operator can purge reports by date, operator or report status. |
| SRS Server Allowed to view all reports in company |
Controls whether an operator can view the reports of all operators, in the report queue of a company (server-side printing). |
