Dated Exchange Rates Maintenance
This program allows you to maintain dated exchange rates.
Exploring
This program is accessed from the Program List of the SYSPRO menu:

Accounts Payable > Setup > Dated Exchange Rates Maintenance
Accounts Receivable > Setup > Dated Exchange Rates Maintenance
Cash Book > Setup > Dated Exchange Rates Maintenance
This program can also be called from the Currency Exchange Rate Maintenance program by selecting the Maintain hyperlink.
A dated exchange rate is an exchange rate for a specific currency code on a specified date.
An effective date is the date from which an exchange rate is in effect.
Starting

If an operator has selected all, a range, or a list of currencies for revaluation:

Only buying rate types will be displayed for all foreign currencies for the effective date when the Dated Exchange Rates Maintenance program is called from the AP Exchange Rate Revaluation program.

Only selling rate types will be displayed for all foreign currencies for the effective date when the Dated Exchange Rates Maintenance program is called from the AR Exchange Rate Revaluation program.

Both buying and selling rate types will be displayed for all foreign currencies for the effective date when the Dated Exchange Rates Maintenance program is called from the Cash Book Currency Variance program.

If an operator selects a single currency for revaluation:

Only buying rate types will be displayed for the specified foreign currency for the effective date when the Dated Exchange Rates Maintenance program is called from the AP Exchange Rate Revaluation program.

Only selling rate types will be displayed for the specified foreign currency for the effective date when the Dated Exchange Rates Maintenance program is called from the AR Exchange Rate Revaluation program.

Currency |
Browse for or enter the relevant currency code. The currency code will be populated with the relevant currency code if you open the program from within another program.

Delete |
Delete an existing entry. Effective entries will be incremented if items have been deleted for a particular date and then new items are added.

Filter |
Filter the records returned based on their effective date and rate type. |
Effective date |
Enter or select the date from which the exchange rate is effective. |
Rate type |
Indicate whether the exchange rate is for buying or selling. |
Entry number |
Indicates the number of the entry when capturing multiple entries per day. |
Exchange rate |
Indicate the exchange rate. |
Conversion |
Indicate whether to multiply or divide. |
Reason for change |
Indicate a reason if required. |
