Product Recall Selections Review
Exploring
This program lets you select the stock code, warehouse, lots, bins and serials of stock items you want to include in a product recall so that you can you view its impact.
Things you can do in this program include:

- Examine the impact of the product recall, by viewing the affected:
- Customers
- Suppliers
- Sales orders
- Purchase orders
- Jobs
Solving
- Open the Product Recall Selections Review program.
- Indicate the search criteria from the Product Recall Lot Criteria and Product Recall Selection Review panes.
- Select Start Review.
- View the impact of the product recall by selecting one of the following functions from the toolbar:

Columns in a list view are sometimes hidden by default. You can reinstate them using the Field Chooser option from the context-sensitive menu (displayed by right-clicking a header column header in the list view). Select and drag the required column to a position in the list view header.

Fields on a pane are sometimes removed by default. You can reinstate them using the Field Selector option from the context-sensitive menu (displayed by right-clicking any field in the pane). Select and drag the required fields onto the pane.
The captions for fields are also sometimes hidden. You can select the Show Captions option from the context-sensitive menu to see a list of them. Click on the relevant caption to reinstate it to the form.
If the Show Captions option is grayed out, it means no captions are hidden for that form.

Press Ctrl+F1 within a list view or form to view a complete list of functions available.

The lot transaction date is used to filter details of sold lots when selecting Lots at the Source selection field.
The serial transaction date is used to filter details of sold serials when selecting Serials at the Source selection field.

Source selection |
This lets you choose to select stock codes for the product recall either by lots or serials. |
Start review |
Select this to accept your Review Criteria selections and display the data accordingly. This option is enabled when you initially access the program but, thereafter, is only re-enabled when you select the Change Criteria option. |

Select this to change the previously selected review criteria. This function is only enabled after you select the Start Review function. |

Lot selection |
Indicate the lot(s) you want to include in the product recall. If a single lot is entered, then any lots/stock codes associated with the lot (i.e. entered within job receipts, inventory movement receipts, issues, sales and purchase orders) are returned. |

Additional lot selection | Indicate the lots you want to include in the product recall using the custom additional lot name. |

Transaction date | |
Transaction date selection |
Indicate the transaction dates you want to include in the product recall. When the source selection is Lots, indicate the lots to include in the product recall for lot transaction dates of lot traceable items sold. When the source selection is Serials, indicate the serials to include in the product recall for serial transaction dates of serialized items sold. When Apply date filter to results is selected, then these dates are applied to the result set of affected customers, suppliers, etc.

Select this to apply the date filter to the results in the Product Recall Selection Review pane. |
Apply date filter to initial build |
Select this to apply the date filter when the Start Review button is selected and the product recall data is extracted. This reduces the information that is returned and may result in an inaccurate product recall, as items and activities falling outside of the selected date range will not be included. |
Options |
These options let you filter and reduce the list of items included in the product recall, which is specifically useful for companies that don’t archive lots. |
Exclude non-traceable items |
Select this to exclude items that are non-traceable, i.e. items that don't have lots or serials linked to them. |
Exclude non-stocked items |
Select this to exclude all non-stocked items. |
Apply last transfer transaction |
Select this to only include the last transfer transaction that was done against the item, i.e. all previous movements are disregarded. This ensures that previous movement transactions are excluded, which is useful when items are moved frequently between warehouses and bins |
Include parent link information |
Select this to include the parent item and the parent lot or serial number in the product recall. This will initially increase the list of items, but will ensure that all potentially contaminated or defective items are identified and included in the product recall. |
Exclude non-serialized items |
Select this to exclude items that are non-serialized, i.e. items that don't have serials linked to them. |
The list view is limited to 8000 rows.

Affected Customers |
This displays the Affected Customers pane that lists all customers that will be affected by the recall of the selected stock code. |
Affected Suppliers |
This displays the Affected Suppliers pane that lists all suppliers that will be affected by the recall of the selected stock code. |
Affected Sales Orders |
This displays the Affected Sales Orders pane that lists all sales orders that will be affected by the recall of the selected stock code. |
Affected Purchase Orders |
This displays the Affected Purchase Orders pane that lists all purchase orders that will be affected by the recall of the selected stock code. |
Affected Jobs |
This displays the Affected Jobs pane that lists all jobs that will be affected by the recall of the selected stock code. |
Include |
Tick this box to include the data record in the product recall. |
Stock code |
This indicates the stock item you have selected. |
Warehouse |
This indicates the warehouse where the stock item you have selected, is located. |
Lot |
This is the lot number of which the stock item. |
Bin |
This indicates the bin where the stock item you have selected, is located. |
Serial number |
This is the serial number of which the stock item. |
On hand | This indicates the number of items that are on hand in the selected warehouse and bin. |
Affected lots / serials |
This indicates the number of lots or serials that are affected by the product recall. This field displays the affected lots if your source selection is Serials. If your source selection is Lots, then affected serials are displayed. |
Exists |
Yes is displayed if the item is already in quarantine, i.e. it is already included in a product recall and can't be selected again. |
Affected customers |
Select the View hyperlink to display the Affected Customers pane that lists all customers that will be affected by the recall of the selected stock code. |
Affected jobs |
Select the View hyperlink to display the Affected Jobs pane that lists all jobs that will be affected by the recall of the selected stock code. |
Affected purchase orders |
Select the View hyperlink to display the Affected Purchase Orders pane that lists all purchase orders that will be affected by the recall of the selected stock code. |
Affected sales orders |
Select the View hyperlink to display the Affected Sales Orders pane that lists all sales orders that will be affected by the recall of the selected stock code. |
Affected suppliers |
Select the View hyperlink to display the Affected Suppliers pane that lists all suppliers that will be affected by the recall of the selected stock code. |
Parent |
This indicates the description of the parent item. This information is only included when the Include parent link information option is selected. |
Parent lot |
This indicates the lot number of the parent item. This information is only included when the Include parent link information option is selected. |
