Multi-level Job

You use this program to track the progress of jobs through all levels of a bill of jobs.

Report Options

Field Description
Master job Enter the top level job against which sub jobs have been attached.

Use the option: Print from master job if sub job selected to indicate whether to print the report from the master job level, or to print only the sub job entered.

Report type  
Tabular Select this to list jobs in finish date sequence (from the latest to the earliest finish date). Jobs with the same finish date are listed in job number sequence (from the lowest to the highest job number).
Chart

Select this to list jobs in start date sequence (from the earliest to the latest start date). Jobs with the same start date are listed in job number sequence (from the lowest to the highest job number).

The following additional details are printed on the report:

  • S - this indicates that the job has been started. The number of S characters relates to the number of days that have elapsed since the earliest start date of the job.
  • * - This indicates that the job has not yet been started. The number of * characters relates to the number of days that have elapsed since the earliest start date of the job.
  • C - This indicates that the job is complete. The number of C characters relates to the number of days that have elapsed since the earliest start date of the job.
Summary or detail This only applies to a tabular report.
Summary Select this to print details of jobs relating only to parent parts.
Detail Select this to print details of jobs with the option to include completed operations and components.
Options  
Include components, operations and materials Select this to include completed operations and components on the report.

This option is only enabled when you select Detail at the Summary or detail option.

Print from master job if sub job selected

Select this to print the report from the master job level when you enter a sub job in the Master job field.

If you do not select this option and you enter a sub job in the Master job field, then only the details of the sub job entered are printed on the report.
Print manufacturing u/m quantities This prints quantities in the manufacturing unit of measure, providing that this is configured against the relevant stock items and you selected to use this unit of measure in the bill of materials. Otherwise quantities are printed in the stocking unit of measure.
Jobs to include  
All jobs in bill Select this to include all jobs in the bill of jobs.
Only jobs that should be complete Select this to include only jobs that should be complete on or after the date indicated in the As of date field below.
Only jobs that should have been started Select this to include only jobs that should have been started by the date indicated in the As of date field below.
As of date

Enter either the completion or start date for the jobs, depending on the Jobs to include options you selected.

This field is not enabled of you selected to include All jobs in the bill.

Output Options

These options enable you to apply a theme to the report and to define multiple output destinations for the report once it has been compiled (SRS Output Options).
