Job Logging Report

You use this program to print a log file of all programs that have been accessed by operators.

The report displays information regarding the program accessed, the date and time that the program was accessed, the length of time that the program was in use, the operator who loaded the program and the computer name from which the program was run.

Report Options

Field Description
Date Indicate the log date(s) for which you want to include transactions.
Time

Indicate the time(s) for which you want to display job log details.

Operator Indicate the operator for whom you want to include transactions.
Program Indicate the program(s) for which you want to include transactions.
Include ready to purge
Option Description
Yes Include journals that the system regards as still being in progress.
No Include all amendment journals in the report.
Only Print amendment journals that have not completed successfully and where the integrity of data has been compromised.
Include details  
Include active

Include all records that are still deemed active (i.e. records where no logoff date has been recorded).

Include blank status

Include all records that have no status.

Include file errors

Include all records where a file status message was encountered (e.g. indexed file corrupted, kernel problem, or corrupt index file).

Include remarks

Include all records that have a remark status (i.e. where the system terminated abnormally). Details are displayed in the message column.

Include In Progress transactions

Include transactions that the system regards as still being in progress.

Include Failed and Rolled bank transactions

Include transactions that have failed, but where the system has performed a roll-back. This is relevant only in a SQL environment.

Maximum rows to return Enter the maximum number of journals to be displayed on the report.

Output Options

These options enable you to apply a theme to the report and to define multiple output destinations for the report once it has been compiled (SRS Output Options).

Report Details

  • Only amendment journals not previously printed are listed on the report each time you generate this report (i.e. when not reprinting).
