You use this program to generate a report of information held within the sales history file.
The sales history file is updated whenever the Sales Analysis Update program is run and information is stored according to the key fields you defined using the Sales Analysis Summary Setup program.

Print lines with zero totals | Select this to include lines for which the value of the
Month to Date movements is zero for the month selected in the
Report Options. If this option is not enabled, then lines with values in the Year to Date and Previous Year are ignored when the Month to Date is zero. Note that if no movements exist, then nothing is printed, irrespective of the selections indicated. |
Branch for p/class or salesperson names |
Enter the branch to use for the salesperson index, or the branch to use for the branch code index. This is only relevant if the Report sequence you selected has the Salesperson as an index in any of the Key areas or the Branch code is the index in Key area one in the Sales Analysis Summary Setup program. |
The selections on this tab page enable you to indicate a range of key fields according to which you want to print the report.
The options available depend on the report sequence you selected. Only fields that are assigned as key fields using the Sales Analysis Summary Setup program can be selected. |
These options enable you to apply a theme to the report and to define multiple output destinations for the report once it has been compiled (SRS Output Options).
The report lists the quantity as cases and pieces instead of units and decimals when unit quantity processing is required (Stock Codes). However, the quantity totals are listed in units and decimals.
When the report includes the stock code, the description is only printed for stocked items. The reason is that non-stocked codes have no standard description, as the Sales Order module does not use a non-stocked table/file. The sales history information is quite likely made up of several different orders and each order could have its own description for the non-stocked code.
The sales order number is not saved on the summary history information and the description for non-stocked items can therefore not be accessed from the tables/files that delivery notes and/or invoices use.
You cannot access this program if no key fields are assigned in the Sales Analysis Summary Setup program.
When the Sales history update option is set to Batch (Sales Analysis Setup) you must run the Sales Analysis Update to update your sales history files to obtain the latest information on the report.
All invoices processed using the AR Invoice Posting program are excluded from this report. These invoices are treated as miscellaneous charges, and neither miscellaneous nor freight charges are included in this report.
Invoices are only included for customers for whom the Detail history required option is enabled (Customers).
Before attempting to balance the figures on this report to other Sales Analysis reports, you should:
Run the Sales Analysis Update - irrespective of the setting of the Sales history update option (Sales Analysis Setup).
Check whether miscellaneous charges are included in sales history (Sales Analysis Setup). If they are, then miscellaneous charges (except those processed against an underscore product class) are included in summary, detailed and archived sales history where relevant. This applies irrespective of the setting of the Sales history update option (Sales Analysis Setup).
Note that underscore product classes are not included in Sales Analysis History, but they are included in the Sales by Product Class report.
The Year to date figures on this report are not meant to balance to the Year to date figures on the report produced by the Sales Analysis Update program. The Sales Analysis Update includes tax, freight and miscellaneous lines linked to an underscore product class, where as the Sales History report excludes these lines.
