Scheduling Group Options

You use this function to validate your scheduling group selections based on existing jobs.

Scheduling Group Options

Field Description
Scheduling Group Selection Indicate the scheduling groups you want to include in the validation process.
Include valid jobs in the output Enable this to include valid jobs in the output displayed by the validation process.
Validate Select this to begin the validation process.

The warehouses you have assigned to the scheduling group drive the validation process and ensure that the job classifications, work centers and tool sets all belong to the same scheduling group as the warehouse on the job header.

The following jobs are ignored:

  • Inactive jobs.
  • Unconfirmed jobs (if you have not enabled the SFS setup option to include them).
  • Jobs on hold (if you have not enabled the SFS setup option to include them).
  • Zero quantity outstanding jobs.

The validation indicates the following:

  • Invalid jobs that will not be exported into SYSPRO Factory Scheduling.
  • Warning messages regarding the validation of the scheduling group (the job is still valid and will be exported into SYSPRO Factory Scheduling).
  • Valid jobs (if you enabled the runtime option: Include valid jobs in the output).

In the case of non-stocked jobs, the job classification is used because there is no warehouse to drive the primary scheduling group. An error message is displayed if a non-stocked job exists without a job classification.

If you select to use scheduling groups, then the following is exported:

  • Only static data (this applies to work centers, machines and tool sets) that have been defined against the scheduling group.
  • Only jobs valid for the scheduling group.
