SYSPRO Factory Scheduling is a range of scheduling products based on the internationally recognized Preactor scheduling tool.

SYSPRO has developed these products to utilize the strengths of the Preactor range of tools, but configured it in a way that will work elegantly and logically with the core SYSPRO modules (WIP, BOM etc).

These products are sold and supported directly by SYSPRO. The range of products consists of three distinctly different products:

The Graphical Planning Board is a basic finite capacity scheduler which enables manual manipulation of the schedule via a graphical Gantt chart view and provides limited rules and features for automatic scheduling. It schedules using basic forward and backward scheduling algorithms and considers only the main resource (machine) required for an operation as a constraint. It is ideal for smaller manufacturing companies that need to schedule a small number of production jobs at any point in time, or those manufacturing companies who have only basic scheduling requirements.

The Finite Scheduler is a sophisticated finite capacity scheduler with the ability to consider multiple constraints per operation. Secondary resource groups can be used to define, for example, operator skill teams and can be classified as having finite or infinite capacity.

The Advanced Scheduler is a sophisticated scheduling system, employing advanced scheduling algorithms and considering all constraints such as tooling, material requirements, etc. It allows you to generate accurate production schedules through the use of advanced scheduling rules and by factoring in component and raw material availabilities.
