Export Build Schedules

You use this program to generate an export file using records selected from your build schedule file.

This file can be imported using either the Import Forecasts or Import Build Schedules programs, depending on your selection made at the Target field.

Build Schedule Export

Field Description
Start Export Exports the schedules to the file according to the selections indicated.
Export Details  
Export file Indicate the full path name of the file to export.

Option Description
Build schedule import Select this to create a file that can be imported using the Import Build Schedules program.
Forecast import Select this to create a file that can be imported using the Import Forecasts program.
Print export file Select this to list the contents of the export file in the Build Schedule Export File Listing pane.
Dates Indicate the date(s) for which to export build schedules.
Stock codes Indicate the stock code(s) for which to export build schedules.
Warehouses Indicate the warehouse(s) for which to export build schedules.
References Indicate the schedule reference(s) for which to export build schedules.

Build Schedule Export File Listing

This displays the contents of the export file if you selected the Print export file option. The file can be printed, Emailed or saved as an MS Excel file.

File Layout

This is the layout of the file that must be defined to successfully export build schedule information.

Field Start position Field length and description
Line type 1 1

(Mandatory)

The first character of each line in the import file must either be an F (indicating a forecast line) or a B (indicating a build schedule line).

Stock code 2 30

(Mandatory)

This field must be non-blank. If static details for this stock code are not found, then the item will be assumed to be non-stocked.

If the warehouse is not ** then the stock code must currently exist on the database.

Warehouse 32 10

(Mandatory)

This is the forecast warehouse. If the item is non-stocked, then enter **.

Date 42 6

(Mandatory)

Enter the build schedule/forecast date in a valid format (e.g. DDMMYY or MMDDYY).

Quantity 48 20

(Mandatory)

Enter the quantity required in an edited format (e.g. 1.23 or 1).

Reference 68 30

Enter a build schedule/forecast reference, if required.

Forecast type 98 1

(Forecasts only)

Enter the type of forecast, if required.

Customer 99 15

Enter a valid customer, if required.

Revision 114 5

ECC revision - stocked items only.

Release 119 5

ECC release - stocked items only.

Restrictions and limits

  • Build schedule records are not exported where the quantity to make is not greater than zero.
