Custom Configuration Options

You use this program to add custom configurations for Espresso and third party applications.

This program is accessed when you select New or Copy from the Espresso Custom Configuration program.

Item level

Select if the configuration is to be used by all operators across all companies (system-wide) or for a specific company, role or operator.

If relevant, enter the company, role or operator.

Option Description
XML parameters

Select this to use XML to process the transaction.

The schema must be selected in the File name field if this option is selected. The sample XML files are available in the Base/Schemas folder on the server.

  • Only post transaction types can be used.

  • The parameter tag must be present in the XML.
Text

Select this to enter text information in the Data store text field.
Name Enter a name for the new configuration item.
File name Enter the schema filename and path.
Data store text

Enter any text required in this field. For example, you can store a connection string to a SQL server, or any third party text.

The maximum length is 600 characters.
