EFT Bank Control Maintenance

You use this program to capture and maintain details of EFT control information required within the system.

Bank Details

Field Description
Bank information  
Bank Indicates the code of the bank you are currently maintaining.
Bank name Indicates the description of the bank you are currently maintaining.
Global statement narration

Enables you to enter the text that must be displayed on the supplier's bank statement when you make an EFT payment to your suppliers.

EFT options  
Output EFT payments to XML format

Enables the EFT Payments Extract and EFT Payments Re-extract programs to create an XML file containing all the relevant EFT details for the extract.

This file will include supplier, beneficiary and bank information and can be used by a third party software developer to extract the information into the file format required by your bank.

If not enabled, then the third party software developer must interrogate the SYSPRO EFT data files directly to extract the information required by your bank.

Path location
Option Description
Client Creates the XML file on the client machine.
Server

Creates the XML file on the server.

This only applies when running SYSPRO in a client/server environment.

XML file path

Indicates the full path name where the XML file must be stored. The path must exist.

XML output structure
Option Description
By supplier Extracts the total amounts paid to each supplier to the XML file. No individual supplier invoice details are extracted to the file.
By invoice Extracts all the invoice details making up the supplier totals to the XML file in addition to the total amounts paid to each supplier.
Last XML file name Indicates the name of the last XML file that was created for this bank.

Notes and warnings

eSignature considerations

Electronic Signatures provide security access, transaction logging and event triggering. This enables you to increase control over your system changes.

Access to the following eSignature transactions within this program can be restricted at Operator, Group, Role or Company level. You configure this using the eSignature Setup program.

Controls access to the Add or New function in the Browse on EFT Bank Control and EFT Bank Control programs.

EFT Bank changed

Controls access to the maintenance of banks in the Browse on EFT Bank Control and EFT Bank Control programs.

EFT Bank deleted

Controls access to the Delete function in the Browse on EFT Bank Control and EFT Bank Control programs.

Deletion considerations

  • You cannot delete EFT control information for a bank if there are any EFT transactions in progress against the bank.

Custom form

  • A custom form containing extra information (e.g. relating to a batch of payments) can be created for each bank. If you select to create an XML file, then any information captured in a custom form is output to the XML file.

Inserting Application Help

You would typically follow this procedure to display help for the current program in a customized pane that can be pinned to the program window.

Information includes step-by-step instructions for the various functions available within the program, including a brief overview of what the program does, what setup options are required and how to personalize the program.

  1. Open the program for which you want to insert application help into a customized pane.

    This functionality is only available for a program that has panes.

  2. Right-click any form field.

    You can also click the triangle menu icon that appears in the title area of a pane.

  3. Select Insert Application Help from the context-sensitive menu.

    The application help appears in a pane within your program. You can reposition the pane using the docking stickers or pin it to the program window.

Removing the Application Help pane

If you no longer want to display application help in a pane for your current program, you can simply remove it.

  1. Select the Close icon in the right-hand corner of the application help pane.

  2. Confirm that you want to delete the pane.
