Component Where-used

You use this program to identify the parent parts of a structure to which components are attached, including the level at which the component occurs.

Up to 15 levels of a structure can be printed; each level indented across the page.

Report Options

Field Description
Routing selection

Indicate the route for which to include stock items in the report.

This only applies when the: Alternate routings option is enabled (Bill of Materials Setup).

Print options
New page per item Select this to list the details for each parent part on a new page.
Print by revision/release

Select this to print only ECC controlled parent parts and components for the first level of a structure.

If you do not select this option, then the report prints all ECC parent items under an ECC controlled component, irrespective of the revision/release.

Print manufacturing u/m quantities

Select this to print the quantities on the report in the manufacturing unit of measure.

This applies when using Manufacturing unit of measure (Work in Progress Setup). Quantities are printed in the manufacturing unit of measure when a Manufacturing unit of measure is defined against the stock code (Stock Codes) and the Manufacturing unit of measure is used in the Bills of Materials.

Quantities are printed in the stocking unit of measure when this option is not enabled.

Level of structure to print If you select the option: Print by revision/release, then the level defaults to First and cannot be changed.
All Select this to list parent parts for all levels within a structure to which the component is attached.

Select this to list parent parts for only the first level of a structure to which the component is attached.

If you select this option, then the report is printed in parent stock code sequence.
